Asset Library
The Asset Library is a searchable library of props, costumes, and set dressing used in productions. Images are automatically analyzed by AI on upload — tagged, described, and made searchable by natural language. The library integrates with the script editor via the Clio assistant drawer.
Upload
Single-image upload
Drag and drop image files onto the dropzone, or click to browse. Multiple files can be queued. Available to Editor, Shoot Lead, Post Lead, Power User, Admin.
Per-upload client tagging
Tag uploaded assets to a specific client, or leave them shared (visible to all). External users default to their first assigned client.
Upload-into-current-folder
Files uploaded while a folder tab is selected are placed into that folder automatically.
Upload progress / live status tracking
Each file shows its state: queued → uploading % → analyzing → complete / failed. The grid refreshes when analysis completes.
Bulk ZIP upload
Upload a .zip of images — up to 50 are extracted, converted, compressed, stored, and analyzed in a batch. Returns total / queued / skipped / over-limit counts.
AI image analysis (automatic)
After each upload, Haiku vision automatically generates a plain-English description and structured tags: - objects — specific physical items in the image - brands — brand or franchise names visible - themes — conceptual themes - colors — dominant 1–3 colors - prop_type — one of: Costume, Branded Merch, Set Dressing, Hand Prop, Food, Other
The description and tags are then converted to a natural-language paragraph and embedded using Voyage AI for semantic search.
Browse & search
Browse assets (paginated grid)
Shows all non-archived assets, newest-first. "Load more" loads 24 at a time.
Two-tier search
Type in the search box (400ms debounce) to search by description, tags, and filename. If no keyword matches are found, the system automatically falls back to Voyage AI semantic vector search — a "No exact matches — showing visually similar assets" banner appears.
Prop-type filter pills
Filter to one prop type: Costume, Branded Merch, Set Dressing, Hand Prop, Food, or Other.
Client filter dropdown
Filter to assets for one client.
Folder filter tabs
Filter to a folder, "All Assets," or unassigned assets.
Asset folders (Admin, Power User only)
Create folder
Create a new folder, optionally scoped to a client. A new tab appears in the folder list.
Rename folder
Hover a folder tab → ✎ → edit → Enter or ✓.
Delete folder
Hover a folder tab → × → confirm. Assets in the folder are not deleted — they become unassigned.
Asset Card modal
View asset detail
Click any asset card to open the detail modal: full-size image, AI description, search-context text, structured tags, file info, and notes.
Download asset
Download the original full-resolution file via a presigned URL.
Edit / add notes
Add or edit freeform notes on the asset. Saves on blur.
Edit tags
Manually edit the prop_type and the objects, brands, themes, and colors tag arrays.
Move asset to folder
Reassign the asset to a different folder or to Unassigned.
Archive asset
Hide the asset from search and browse without deleting it.
Delete asset (permanent)
Permanently deletes the asset and its S3 file and thumbnail.
Retry analysis
Re-runs the AI analysis pipeline on an asset whose analysis failed.
Re-examine with Clio
Re-run Haiku vision analysis with a human-supplied correction hint. Use this when the AI tagged something incorrectly — type a hint and the analysis re-runs, updating description, tags, and embedding.
